Web Page Design Module 4: Introduction to Web Design Software

What is Adobe Dreamweaver?
Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 is a powerful web design program that lets you create interactive web pages with text, images, animation, sounds, and videos. You can use Dreamweaver to create individual web pages or an entire website. Although you can create several different file types, you will be saving your web pages with the .html extension.

Dreamweaver is a WYSIWYG ("What You See Is What You Get") program. As you design a web page, you see exactly what it will look like. You use a property inspector panel to select the properties of selected text that will appear on your webpage. As you select the properties the HTML tags are generated for you.

Dreamweaver lets you manage your entire site. Proper site management is crucial and helps ensure all links and connections work correctly.
